Gurdum homestay photos: what you will see

These Gurdum homestay photos show life at Gurdum Backpackers Homestay in Maneybhanjyang, Darjeeling, from the wooden A-frame cabins in red, blue and green to the adventure tents, the homestay room and the garden around them.

Cabins, tents and the homestay room

Our A-frame cabins sit in a flower garden with mountain views. The adventure tents let you sleep under the Himalayan sky, and the homestay room is inside the family home. Look through the pictures to choose the stay that suits your trip, then check the homestay rates for prices.

Bonfire nights, marigolds and village walks

Evenings at the homestay centre on the bonfire, with music and optional BBQ chicken. In the day, the marigold garden and village lanes are lovely for slow walks, and on clear mornings you can see Kanchenjunga. Guests and family members took many of these photos themselves, so they show the place as it really is.

Every picture here was taken at or around the homestay, so what you see is what you get when you arrive. The A-frame cabins in red, blue and green stand out against the forest, while the marigold garden adds colour around the cabins and tents. Look closely and you will notice how close the mountains feel from every corner of the property.

Photos can only show so much. The quiet, the warmth of the bonfire in the evening and the views over the valley are best experienced in person. If you have a question about a particular cabin, tent or room, send us a message on WhatsApp and we will share more details, current availability and the nightly rate with meals included.

Trekkers above the clouds

The gallery also includes Sandakphu trekkers at sunrise above the clouds. If you want to walk the same trail, see the Sandakphu trek from Gurdum and the fixed departure dates for October and November 2026.

How to use these photos to plan your trip

Use the gallery to compare the cabins, tents and the homestay room before you choose. Notice the mountain views from the garden, the colourful houses of Gurdum village and the fire pit where evenings are spent. If you plan to trek, look at the sunrise photos from Sandakphu and imagine yourself on the same ridge a few days later.

Prices, meals and distances are on the rates page. For the trek route and dates, see the trekking page. The homestay is 5 km from Maneybhanjan, 31 km from Darjeeling city and 97 km from NJP Junction, and every nightly rate includes welcome tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and snacks, dinner and lodging.
